Our Church History

New Dawn Baptist Church (NDBC) was established on November 21st, 2004, in Victoria Island, Lagos, with Dn Femi Frank Afolabi as the Church Leader. In 2007, the Church appointed its first full-time pastor, Samson Aderinto Adedokun. By March 29th, 2009, New Dawn had been restructured as an independent, self-governing Baptist Church, signifying a significant milestone in its growth and development. Since then, New Dawn Baptist Church has achieved many accomplishments in its mission to serve its community and spread the message of the gospel. Today, we are proud to be affiliated with the Nigerian Baptist Convention, as well as the Shalom Baptist Association and the Lagos Central Baptist Conference. We remain committed to our core values, and our team of dedicated leaders and volunteers works tirelessly to build a welcoming and inclusive community for all who seek to know God and experience the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

Reveal

We are passionate about making Jesus known — in our worship, our teaching, and our daily lives. Through Spirit-led services, sound doctrine, and intentional discipleship, we help people encounter the truth, love, and power of Christ.

Restore

We believe in the transforming power of the gospel to heal brokenness. Whether spiritual, emotional, or relational, we trust God to restore wholeness as we walk with people in love, prayer, and community. We also create a loving and grace-filled environment where people can find hope and purpose in Christ.

Raise

Discipleship is central to our mission. We are committed to raising strong believers who are grounded in the Word, led by the Spirit, and empowered to grow, lead, and live out their faith in ways that transform their world.
